Approved by the NICEIC and Trust Mark, LA Electrical have been carrying out Electrical Safety Testing for over 21 years.
From a simple Emergency lighting test to a complete EICR (Electrical Installation Condition Report) for a domestic or commercial property, LA Electrical can carry out all the necessary electrical safety testing you or your business needs with electronic certificates produced and emailed over quickly. We invest in the latest test and reporting equipment to provide a cost effective solution.
As well as others listed below, we can offer the following types of electrical safety test:
EICR (Electrical Installation Condition Report)
Previously a Periodic Inspection, or referred to as a Landlord report, an EICR is a full inspection of the wiring hidden inside your property making sure the installation is compliant with current regulations.
Most insurance companies won’t insure your property without an EICR, so beware when you rent your home. Check for a sticker on your consumer unit to when your last test has been carried out.
How often should my property be inspected?
- Property Let – Every 5 years or change of tenant (which ever is sooner)
- School/Educational establishment – Every 5 years
- Domestic property – Every 10 years
PAT (Portable Appliance Test)
You’ve probably seen the little green stickers on appliances around your office (if you haven’t, give us a call!). A PAT is a safety check completed on every piece of electrical equipment and is required for public performance artists requiring band equipment to certified, let properties, commercial and office environments.. The green stickers mean the item has passed, the red ones mean it has failed (so don’t use it!). This test is usually completed every year.
