Most Sync EV installations take between six and eight hours. If a consumer unit upgrade is also needed, allow a little longer. We’ll give you an accurate timescale when you book.
Yes — the Sync EV is solar compatible. If you have solar panels and want to maximise your self-consumption by charging your car from surplus generation, the Sync EV supports this. For the most advanced solar divert functionality — charging automatically from surplus solar in real time — the MyEnergi Zappi is the more feature-rich option. We’ll advise which suits your setup best.
Yes — the Sync EV’s scheduling feature lets you set charging windows to coincide with cheaper overnight electricity. Tariffs like Octopus Go and Intelligent Octopus pair well with it, letting you charge for significantly less than standard daytime rates.
Not always — we check your consumer unit as part of every installation. If an upgrade is needed to add the additional circuit safely, we’ll let you know upfront and can carry out both jobs in one visit.
Yes — the Sync EV is fully weatherproof and suitable for both indoor and outdoor installation. Most of our installations across Bristol and South Gloucestershire are on the exterior of the property near the front or side of the house.
